“Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje is institution of the highest values: truth, good and beauty.
The main objective of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” is knowledge. It is explored and developed as fundamental and applied science and spread through acquaintance with the world scientific achievements, through exchange of scientific information with other universities in the country and abroad and transfer through various media. “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University passes the knowledge to their students in the most sophisticated way.
At the University of “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” are working and studying,they are developping the science and many specialists and young candidates are growing from every aspect of human knowledge and skills. They have big obligations to the University, and among them they held specific moral relations.The duties and moral practices to constitute specific ethics.
Main objectives and characteristics of universal academic ethics, and so on ethics at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” are: worthy performance of the functions of academic institutions, promotion of scientific and educational activities of the University and society, dissemination of academic culture, respect for academic traditions, keeping the dignity and self-dignity of academic figures, good relations between institutions and activists of University clubs for students and trainees, maintaining and developing the ethics of noble behaviour, refrain from violation of anyone giving aid and developing general humanistic ideas. The specific goals and ethical values of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” are resulting from its position as the oldest and most advanced University in the country and the characteristics of its academic development.
Exhibited values and norms of the Code of Ethics of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” are mandatory for all its teachers, students and staff. These ethical norms require and encourage good actions of the University and colleagues. All undertake, on their honour that they will abide by these commitments and standards as part of their academic work and career.
